Scope & editorial standards
Private wealth.
Publicly inspectable scholarship.
The journal’s scope
Family-office and private-wealth governance; succession and intergenerational learning; trustee–beneficiary relationships; private equity, venture capital and entrepreneurial acquisition; liquidity and capital structures; philanthropy and impact measurement; institutional resilience, digital finance and accountable technology. Research, reviews, conceptual analyses and practitioner reports retain their actual publication types. Women’s leadership, equitable access to capital, ownership authority and intergenerational financial agency are organized in a dedicated thematic collection.
A paired publication model
Research and conceptual sources are paired with solutions articles that translate evidence into explicit decisions, responsible owners, records and evaluation measures. A proposed control is not a verified intervention. Source findings, editorial inference and future testing are identified separately.
A name that carries the conversation forward
Renamed Journal Opal on 23 October 2026 from the Family Office Private Wealth Journal. Existing article addresses, authorship, original publication names, licenses, edition hashes, agents and submission records are preserved. Earlier editorial editions retain their original bylines and citations.
Rights before reproduction
The source collection admits exact article or report versions with verified CC BY, CC BY-SA or CC0 rights and accessible reusable full text. A free download, a repository listing or a waiver for data alone is insufficient. Original authors, publication dates, journals, publishers, DOI identifiers and notices are retained. The initial collection uses CC BY 4.0 works. Third-party material with separate rights is not reproduced as an image.
Human editorial authority
Dr. Freedom Cheteni is Editor in Chief. Original submissions follow JournalOS author verification, conflict management, human review, proof and publication controls. An editor’s own submission requires independent handling. Curating a previously published source does not create a new peer-review decision. The forum analysis and solutions companions are identified as editorial research analyses prepared with AI assistance; no additional peer review is claimed.
Sources, corrections and agents
Each preserved source and companion has an immutable text digest and its own passage-search agent. Agents return source passages and never act as authors, human peers or investment decision makers. Existing DOIs remain attached to their original works. No new DOI is assigned to a copied article. Corrections can be reported through the journal’s editorial workspace with the article URL and supporting evidence.
This journal provides scholarly and educational material. Practical companions describe governance processes and evaluation questions, rather than individual investment, tax or legal recommendations.
