A scholarly platform should not ask readers to trust a score, badge or model. It should preserve enough evidence to inspect authorship, review, rights, claims, versions and corrections.
Identity & contribution
Verified DOI, ORCID, ROR and CRediT identifiers are shown when present; the platform does not invent or imply missing credentials.
Version truth
A record is described as version-complete only when prior versions, corrections and current status are publicly identifiable.
Rights ledger
Every reused article records the source version, canonical DOI, exact license deed and attribution basis.
Claim provenance
Paper Agents show the supporting source excerpt and canonical record; stable page or passage locators appear only when the indexed source supports them.
Human editorial authority
Automation checks completeness and consistency; it never accepts, rejects or ranks scholarship for publication.

The platform is designed around portable metadata, files, audit history and preservation-ready outputs.
Agent constitution
What an article agent may—and may not—do.
State its available source and version scope.
Show the source DOI or URL and supporting excerpt; add a stable locator when available.
Distinguish extraction, author claim and derived application.
Return “not stated” when the evidence ends.
Invent references, methods, findings or author positions.
Conceal corrections, retractions, conflicts or license limits.
Make publication decisions or reviewer recommendations.
