Public project summary

One problem impacting many low-income countries around the world is the continued prevalence of diseases that have largely been eradicated in more wealthy countries. While treatment techniques for these diseases have evolved significantly, many of them can be prevented through faster diagnoses. One way to accomplish this is using point-of-care testing, which provides faster results near the point of patient care. This study uses data from several public sources to analyze and determine the economic and disease-preventive efficacy of point-of-care testing solutions in low-income and remote settings.
