Public project summary

This project will be studying mouse patterns such as mouse coordinates, and their use of left and right clicks on social media sites such as Facebook and Reddit. This study will target the demographic of high school students and websites they commonly use, which will direct this study in a more specific way. Data will be collected through a chrome extension and then loaded onto a Java program, which can calculate statistics and display the data. Patterns will be observed both visually and mathematically. This study will put more emphasis on the mouse motion patterns themselves, not just the general distribution on mouse websites. Consideration of the significance of mouse clicks, scrolls, and scroll location separately and together.
