A buyer offers a premium for a company carrying the family name. Some owners want continued employment in its home town; others mean brand continuity when they say legacy.

Committee assignment

Price each objective separately and examine whether sale covenants, retained ownership or another buyer could protect it.

Record and decision rule

List each promise, enforceability, expiry and cost. Do not treat an unenforceable expression of intent as equivalent to a retained right.
