Public project summary

Sterilization of equipment is essential for the safety of healthcare workers and patients in hospitals. However, the current process is very costly. By using cheaper sterilants for cleaning medical equipment, hospitals would be able to save time and money. This study experiments with different concentrations of ethanol and isopropanol to determine the optimal concentration of water and alcohol in the sterilization of bacterial spores.
