Public project summary

While underprivileged students face an array of challenges ranging from paying the fee to submit a college application, to being able to pay for college itself, one of the first steps in the college admission process is taking college entrance exams. The SAT or ACT are generally accepted by all schools so either test is a viable option for students to take. Many students who do not have extensive resources, go into these tests with minimal or no preparation, creating what some see as a disadvantage. It is for this reason that motivates this research project, which will investigate the affordable resources available to students in Palo Alto.
