Public project summary

This project is focused on exploring the effects of sleep deprivation on emotional states and athletic performance of student athletes (basketball and swimming) ranging from the ages of 14 to 18 from both Palo Alto High Schools. The amount of sleep the subjects obtain for two weeks along with their free throw percentages/ lap times, or POMS test results will be recorded.The goal is to discover how the amount of sleep a teenager, or specifically, a student athlete obtains, affects their athletic performance and emotional state.
